In the road Istiaias - Chalcis, in a distance of 91 km from Chalcis, is
built the ancient village of Ellinika, with exceptional view to
Aegean sea.
This village
is perched on the slope of a pine-clad hill. The name emanates from the
naval battle of Artemisioy 480 B.C
The beach in question is an absolute gem, pine-clad and perfect for small vessels. The trees are almost touching the water. |
| Across the beach there’s a tiny little island dominated by the church of Agios Nikolaos (Saint Nicolas). You can swim the distance if you want to and it’s quite a pleasant work-out! |
